I got an extension. The Rep was very nice, but not informative on the current tax laws. And she gave me the wrong documents to file for an extension.
I went to Jackson Hewitt for the first time this year because they were advertising a $149 flat service fee. After they did my taxes I was told my fee was over $600. When I mentioned their promotion price they informed me that the promotion has ended a couple of weeks ago. When I tried to explain to them that you advertised a promotion price to prepare taxes, and then you turn around and tell me the promotion ended before the tax season ended just didn’t make sense, they said there is nothing they can do for me.
