We had our 2025 taxes prepared here in March. After calculating the total amount to be paid to the IRS our preparer offered to file an extension until October due to upcoming plans to sell our house and move. Apparently, she proceeded to file the taxes before she offered this extension. We went to the office April 15, 2026 to make sure the extension was good and no one could give us an answer. On our first trip into your Cape Coral office we found your office to be closed at 4:00pm. The next day when we went in at 1:00, the accountant explained that even though we advertise 9 to 5 with walk-ins welcome, we are so tired during tax season that they close the office after their last scheduled appointment. I guess we got lucky.
It was horrible because I took my lunch break to get to my appointment at 3:30 and it turns out they went to lunch during that time. And I got a text from Jackson Hewitt that we will see you then. I am not very happy about this.
I used Jackson Hewitt because I saw an ad online for first time. Customer is $149. So when I went in there and we get to the end of everything come to find out, it was $400 which is exactly what H&R Block charged. So when I told them about the first time, she says that’s right I don’t know why it’s not coming up blah blah blah they call a manager or the manager says well because you use another form. Doesn’t say that on the ad that I saw so bait and switch very unprofessional absolutely will not use them again.
