Good service from staff.
Bad customer service
The contractors they send out constantly break things in my neighborhood and JacksonEMC does nothing to compensate or correct the issues. Their customer service is rude (assuming anyone actually answers the phone) and will do nothing to actually assist you. Yet another poorly run company with terrible customer service that we're forced to pay because they own the power lines.
This company cut my power while I was out of town and didn’t notify me. The customer service representative just kept saying I was notified in advance. Honestly while that’s true, the company’s communication before that should let you know that they can easily communicate the shut off as well. I am very much in agreement with the company that: I am in the wrong for being late, my power being cut off was a natural consequence of my forgetfulness AND the reconnect fee should be added ro my account.
