South West Hillsboro, 600+ acreas of open areas with many large ponds with ducks, herons, bitterns, egret the occasional Bald Eagle. Has stunning vistas that provide a quick escape from the city. Walk with nature as you encounter a variety of wetland dwelling creatures, plants and trees on a peaceful walk.

Possibly my favorite place to walk, feel the breeze, view wildlife, hear the leaves rustle in the breeze, see the wildflowers all close by SW Hillsboro. - To get here just follow Rt-219 south of Western Hillsboro and you will have to drive 1.5 miles south of the City Boundary to see the Park on your left side heading "south". - They are closed on Sunday but check out the hours throughout the week. This is so cool and the cool things too are NO DOGS or BIKES allowed on property. Nice to know there won't be any off leash pooch... read more

Great walk for our 2.5-year-old. Trails are well-maintained and they're off various lengths which allows for a customizable length of walk.
