Been going to this place since my family recommended it over 25 years ago. Never done me wrong. Trusted him with an engine swap. Ford was over 250,00 miles and found metal in the oil filter. During the repair they advised about what other parts needed replacing since they already had to remove them for the swap. And they abided by my engine manufacturer requirements.
Good honest mechanic!!! I love them
PROS: Very knowledgeable mechanic. And despite my car sitting at his shop for three days without being looked at, he didn't charge me anything when I had to pick up my car for work. CONS: Severely understaffed, so it'll be a while before your vehicle will even be looked at. Communication with Jack wasn't good because he said he'd call me one day but never did; had to pick up my car after 3 days with no word on diagnosing my check engine light.
I am giving a 1 star because I can't give no star. Over charge on a diagnostic. Told me engine was blown when it was just a cracked head and gasket blown. After looking for new engine, I brought to a more reputable shop, The Shop on highway 35 in Alvin, they fixed in one week. It took Jack 's almost 2 weeks just to falsely diagonos they problem. Will never recommend to anyone.
Best garage/mechanics in town. Reliable and trustworthy mechanics who are experts in their craft.
