I'm a frequent customer at Jackies because the taste of the food is pretty consistent. I ordered fried catfish, mac, yams and cabbage as takeout on Aug 15. All I'm going to say is whoever was assigned to making the yams needs to revisit the original recipe because that wasn't it. They put too much of something that made it take nasty which I was not used to with eating from Jackies. Stick to the recipe folks..

Thanks to Raven. She was very attentive to our needs. This was our 1st time visiting the restaurant. The potato salad lack flavor and the chicken wings l ordered with my meal were over cooked. We ordered a salmon cake but it was over cooked. Being a trained Chef my l suggest that when cooking chicken alway’s use fresh oil and don’t cook the crab or salmon cakes in the deep fat fryer. For the best product always cook them on a flat top, oven, and when service is moderate in a skillet. Blessings
