This happened years ago, but f it: When I was 15 or 16, I was referred to Dr. Lurton for a tonsillectomy. He told me that, if I kissed fewer boys, I wouldn't get so many throat infections. I had never kissed a boy at that point. Fast forward a decade, and it turned out almost all my health problems were because of necrotic tonsils. When they came out at age 26, my health drastically improved. I hope this isn't his MO any longer.
