I don't live anywhere near New Paltz, but I go out of my way to stop here when I drive between NYC and upstate. Every time I've visited Jack's Rhythms, I've come away with an armload of records that invariably includes a couple that I had specifically been looking for. It's not the largest selection but it's all quality stuff at pretty reasonable prices, and enough to warrant a special trip if you're in the region. Highly recommended.

Excellent little store with a super friendly shopkeeper. No old school record store attitude here. Always helpful with a good bit of knowledge. Don't forget to check the new arrivals bin for something interesting!
Great selection of rock, pop, folk, blues, metal disco. Prices very good for new and used records. Compact discs are priced very reasonably and there is a great used section for discs. Can special order any LP CD or DVD. Stop by SOON and you will be leaving with some good tunes.
