We loved History Fest! The Knights fighting and the Thomas Jefferson impersonator were among our favorites! I recommend some good walking shoes and packing a lunch!
Wonderful place with accurate history and hands on fun. A food truck is available and my kids had a blast. School age children will benefit, toddlers not so much but easy to push a stroller around if you have older kids. Just watch out on the steps between the lower area where they have the wood cutting and the upper area... I remember thinking they looked sketchy 1 minute before severly straining my ankle on them this year. Would suggest not using the stairs and walking around. Lots of things for kids to do and watch. Vendors all very friendly. Bathroom was gross.
