great place to visit. always has something going on. stores galore and places to eat.
This is a great place to take in the fresh air coming off the bay, and to stroll around watching the watercraft bearing in and out of the harbor. There is a community market (we missed it) earlier in the day--- late morning to early afternoon--- which I'd like to attend next time. Close to Oakland's Chinatown, there are many good places to eat nearby. The bar and bistro at J.L. Square was a little too high-energy for me..... kind of a sports bar atmosphere there. Visited for Fan Fest. The Plank is the place to go right after. Good food and a great atmosphere.
