I got my tragus and my eyebrow pierced by Clint. He is an awesome person and really makes you feel comfortable while getting everything ready and is very professional about getting it done! I'll go back for anything else I want pierced. Thanks guys!
I saw Kelly for my largest piece. She was professional and amazing artist. I felt very comfortable and love my new tattoo. If your looking for a phenomenal female artist I highly recommend. Great atmosphere and I will go noplace else.
In my opinion the illistarted man is not all it is thought out to be! When I had first walked into the studio I had asked for John Monk, he was recomended to me, the man replied "I haven't seen him in a year, and I hope he is dead". "Okay, and you don't know where I could find him at?", I replied. "No!", he said. I had heard of another tattoo shop down the road about a mile from The Illustrated Man. john monk did my back piece and he is a very good tattoo artist and he is a very nice guy and very respectful.he drew it right up for me and it was just what i wanted...I wouldn't go anywhere else.

This place is the worst I've been to, the artist is arrogant when I told him what I wanted. Is he the owner or something I'm not sure? The shop might be clean but I don't like the way I was treated. We are bringing the money to your place, respect us a little! A long standing reputation doesn't mean you can treat people however you want. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE.
i got a sleeve tattoo by john monk at the shop on north oak and it is the best work i have ever seen. john has a very light hand it is almost painless ,he is the best in K.C.
I've had 9 tattoos done by Paul at this shop and I get compliments on all of them (at least the ones people can see!)Paul has about 40 years of tattooing experience and he's not only fast but a great artist. Paul and his wife are super nice, and no worries about hygiene or having some doper doing your tats. Very clean, calm atmosphere.
