Wanted to love it (and would have), but had to sleep on floor due to crazy, crazy soft all memory foam mattress!!! The location was good, grounds lovely, house whimsical & fun, breakfasts yummy...but all that is for naught if you can't sleep at night. See the pic of me sitting on the edge of the all memory foam bed, with no supported siding/edges, and NO SUPPORT at all unless you are light as a feather or young. The jabberwock was exactly as advertised and better than expected. Suzanne's hospitality is top notch, and so is her cooking. Each breakfast and evening appetizer hour were well orchestrated and delicious. It was fun to visit with the other guests and look at all the thoughtful details in the house. We stayed in the TumTum Tree House for three nights and were comfortable, relaxed, and fully equipped with everything we needed.

Just sold - current proprietors staying on through fall to run. Very old house...not a level floor in the place. No air conditioning (not normally needed for Monterey) but it was a warm week and couldn't cool the room even with windows open. Awesome breakfasts, but it's only what they're serving for that day. Walkable to Cannery Row and the wharf...steep incline on the return. Decent amount of off street parking.
