I have been going to Dr. Jaafar for 20+ years. He and his staff have always been excellent providers for me and my family. Dr. Jaafar takes his work very seriously and he staffs himself with serious Nurses, Specialty Doctors, P.A.s, and Lab tech. I have always been treated with the utmost professionalism as well as my family. I know that Dr. Jaafar handles the minor medical illnesses as well as major illnesses. Horrible staff that try to shift all the blame for lost paperwork, faxes, etc. to the patient. I've even been blamed for the pharmacy filling the wrong dosage of a medication when the refill request came directly from doctor's office; either because they were too lazy to look through the patient file and see where the dosage was changed, or they never bothered to update it in the file in the first place. Very thorough and competent. Goes the extra mile to make sure you get good care.
I have been a patient of Dr. Jafaar for 10 years, and he is excellent. He cares for his patients. However, sometimes his staff...in more than one facility, does do more harm than good. It is not easy to find intelligent and caring people to answer phones, sign folks in, take complete messages. He always tries to correct the problem when apprised of it. I believe I will choose EXCELLENT doctor with problematic staff at times over mediocre doctor in a well-run, spiffy ofcice.
I knew there was trouble brewing with Dr Jaafar's staff when after the 3rd visit his staff lost my Request for Medical Records from my previous physicians. About 6 weeks later they were found but nothing was done for at least the following 3 weeks. During that time I had become severely ill and was hospitalized. Things went pretty smooth for the following 3 months. I had to see an alternate physician in November who gave me four prescriptions. I was allergic to three of them.
