He performed a spinal fusion on my L2 and L3, two rods and six screws. I would consider everything a success and consider him compassionate, professional with a good bedside manner. Most likely more surgeries in the future and feel comfortable in his hands.

I recently had the privilege of being treated by Dr. Jaafar Basma, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for his exceptional care and expertise. There is nothing negative that I can say about Dr. Basma. He spent over seven hours repairing my lower lumbar. I arrived at St. Vincent paralyzed from the waist down. Three days later I was walking to the bathroom with the help of physical therapists. In one week I was able to walk with a walker by myself without any pain. He never once entered my room without a smile on his face. He left no doubt that he cared a great deal about how I was feeling and my progress.
