Extremely friendly and helpful staff, great selection
Better service than all the big box stores. Seriously, they provide info, ideas, load wood supplies for you and generally make you feel at home. Great redwood of all kinds plus hardware, stains, etc. Deck and deck supplies.
This is my favorite J&W location, for sentimental reasons. When we first started our company, West Coast Deck (deck and patio contractor here in north county San Diego), we purchased all of our materials here. The manager, Wes, is awesome, and Nick, Oscar, and Noah are all both kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. Meh. I went specifically to look at plywood and to talk about Alumawood patio covers. The person who first tried to help me in the wood yard took me to see the redwood when I said I was shopping for plywood. I'm not sure he knew the difference. Took another 5 minutes for someone to tell me they don't sell plywood any longer. (Really? A lumber yard that doesn't sell plywood?)
