WARNING: they make your vials immediately after the consultation without consent! I was very excited about doing the allergy shots but the consultation was not clear. I thought I had time to check with my insurance before the vials were prepared and THEN could give the consent for them to move forward but they immediately made my vials before checking with me. I had a very disappointing experience with this doctor. I came in dealing with symptoms that are clearly connected and significantly affecting my daily life, but I felt dismissed almost immediately because my case did not fit into a straightforward or “typical” category. Instead of listening carefully or showing curiosity about what I was experiencing, the doctor seemed only interested in staying strictly within a narrow scope and was unwilling to seriously consider anything outside of that. He was so crotchety, impatient, and dismissive. He told me that he wasn’t able to test for what I needed, but still took my appointment and my specialist fee insurance copay.
The allergy clinic is very accommodating and efficient. Dr Abbott listens to my concerns with thoughtfulness and adjusts my plan as needed.
My allergist, Dr. Abbott talks to me without reservation. I like that. He wants to know of anything I have questions about and makes me fell well taken care of.
