a twin cities vegan staple. I take non vegans here often and they always love it, there’s so many good options to choose from. brunch on sundays is amazing too. my favorites are the cauliflower wings and the caesar salad with soy curls.
The food and service was great! Over the years, we have seen a study decline in the overall cleanliness of the establishment. The floors are sticky, and the general ambience of the establishment was kind of gross to be honest. The bathrooms were disgusting as well. I love J Selby’s as an establishment and their commitment to the community, but they definitely need to step up their game as far as taking care of their place.
I’ve been coming to J. Selby’s every time I visit St. Paul for the past few years, and it has become one of my favorite restaurants. A friend introduced me to it, and I’ve been hooked ever since. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The service is always friendly, attentive, and welcoming, and the atmosphere is comfortable and inviting. The second star is purely for the only good thing about this place - the people working there are very nice. Everything else…. So beyond disappointing. After waiting 40 minutes, watching everyone who worked there move at a snails pace, our food arrived in cold, tasteless, and largely inedible. It tasted like it was made by an unsupervised child.
