My car broke down in Goodland KANSAS, 2 AND 1/2 HOURS from my home in Denver. My bestfriend had to come get me, this wonderful place held my car until I could get a company to pick it up for me with a check on hand. J Rod's even had a few options to ride off their lot in🤍.
We broke down on vacations in front of this establishment. He immediately diagnosed pro lem and despite being bust he ordered the part and got us safely to a motel. We were back on our way the following day. Very nice people. Grateful there are still "real" garages with people willing to help a stranger.
They were incredibly warm and friendly. They checked my car’s AC for free, gave me helpful advice, and got me back on the road. I highly recommend reaching out to them if you run into trouble on the highway.
JRods saved our trip to Colorado, and then some!! Our transmission failed on I-70 near Goodland, 5 hours from home on our family trip to Colorado. Another shop checked it out and told us it would be 2 weeks to repair. JRods immediately took us in, treated us like family, drove us 30 miles to Burlington to rent a car so we could continue our trip, rush-ordered a new transmission and then worked OVER THE WEEKEND to install it so we could pick up our car a few days later on our way home.
