I specialize in GU (or genitourinary) cancers, which include cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidneys, and testicles. As a researcher, I'm very interested in experimental therapeutics and clinical trials. I'm particularly focused on evaluating both their effectiveness and their safety. Dr. Monk has been awesome to work with in treating my cancer. He is point person for the team of four other doctors in creating the treatment plan and communicating with me throughout the treatment process. He is compassionate, understanding the concerns I have for treating my cancer and takes as much time as needed at each meeting. He also listens to my ideas and questions and clearly explains why we are doing what is needed in treatment in the way that we are. Highly recommend him and his team of professionals!
