When my husband dropped his charm off to be welded due to a crack, the owner told him $45. When we came back almost a month later, because he was taking a long time to get it done, he told him it would be $105 due to the price of gold going up. This was a very small crack in a charm, but I don't understand why the price would almost triple in a matter of 2 weeks.
