I was suggestes to J&K about 3 yrs ago. She does a wonderful job and is very personable. She gets me everything I have coming back in my returns and more than the cooperate accounting places by far! Never had any backlash that she did something wrong. She knows her stuff. I recommend her to all!
Like many of the others here, ive had my taxes messed up. The first few years no issues. The very first thing I asked was if Kathy was familiar with out of state taxes. She claimed she was. I’m prior military and sold a house in tax year 2021, gave Kathy my 1099-S that year reporting the sale. She did nothing with it. I didn’t find that out til I started getting letters from the California FTB saying I needed to file a return and owed money. Held on to my taxes for over 5 months. I called repeatedly to get answers to see if she was almost done. Still called and tried to pick it my paperwork because she lied and said it was done. When i finally got a hold on someone, it was a lady at the desk , and the door was closed to Kathy office stating she is only doing taxes for people that owe. She didn’t do my taxes at all!! If I could give this no stars I would!! DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!!! She absolutely messed up my mother’s taxes and then completely refused to answer or respond back to her. She filed them wrong then refused to make it right while my mother is stuck paying for the mistakes she made. I am in disbelief and will be reporting this business to the BBB.
The absolute WORST experience I've EVER had getting taxes done. The constant lies, mistakes and unresponsiveness is beyond believable! First time around, she left off one of my husbands side jobs (MAJOR red flag is she didn't want me to go through my paperwork with her. She said not to and to just leave the folder). After many emails to her (with no response), phone calls with messages (no response), we FINALLY got a hold of her and she added the income.
