JJ Powell refused to send a service team when we experienced a leak in our oil tank. We have been a customer of JJPowell for 10 years. We have an oil fired hot water boiler that we use infrequently because we burn a wood stove during the winter and have had mini splits installed. We go through less than 75 gal of heating oil a year. We have used JJ Powell for years for our off-road diesel needs and, more recently, for temporary propane at our job sites. They provide excellent service and are always friendly to deal with.

Was told by one of their own people that I could get service of my mini split system (not installed by JJ Powell). Two weeks ago we got an error code, so I called for service. The lady took all the information and said she would try to get someone out for service, but they were booked for 2 weeks. No one called me back. I called again today - two weeks later, only to be told they are swamped and won't come service it. They bought out a really good reputable heating oil company that took great care of their customers and now the service is horrendous. They say they will deliver on a certain day or within a 3 day window and it ends up being 4 or 6 days later but they are sure to charge your card within 24 hours of the order. Worst service I have experienced from a heating oil company.
