On a road trip from Louisiana to Montana for work, with $3600 repairs before starting off from Louisiana, a few hours in and our coolant warning light keeps appearing. After unsuccessful calls to the original dealership in various cities, and over 15 local auto shops along the way with everyone backlogged including J & J. Imho, best mechanic team in Portales. Honest, dependable, and they must double check all their work as I've never had problems after picking up vehicle. Their prices are reasonable. I've learned when you get cheap prices, you often get what you pay for - not much. They also do an inspection on your vehicle so if its an older model like I drive, I can plan ahead on coming repair's costs.

Moved to portales and immediately had car issues happen. Went onto Google to find a mechanic to help me. Jimmy was the first one to show up with the highest reviews. Jimmy got me in before they opened. Got the problem diagnosed within a few hours. Fixed the problem and even fixed another problem that he typically doesn't fix which was an extremely bad tire. An hour into our 18 hour drive time the truck starts running rough, occasionally shuttering like a horse trying to buck an annoying fly and the check engine light comes on. The folks at Oreilly did the check and told us we’d better get the problem solved or we likely be stranded. Recommended going to Jimmy at J and J just down the street.
