I have been eating at J. Gumbo's for a while now. It's really nice to have a new place to eat at in Anderson Township. I really enjoy their food. The workers are very nice and helpful. I like how you can taste the food before you decide what you want to order. I would definitely recommend J. Gumbo's.

I have visited this restaurant twice and they have been nothing less than awesome both times. You get samples to see what fits your taste. Customer service is also a plus.

Great Creole restaurant. I chanced upon this little place while driving on Hixson Pike near Northgate Mall. (Pass the mall on your right and it is a block up on the left.) Beautiful people and great Creole food. If you can't make it to N'Orleans, this is the place to go. The jambalaya was tasty and the portion size was large enough for me to share with a friend. Definitely mix the jamb. with another entree and share with a friend! Also, the brownie was the best I've ever had. Really.

My parents LOVED eating here w/ me when they visited me while I was in college. They've moved to Louisville, & we still enjoy their food.

The food is amazing and inexpensive. Like the other review at first glance driving by, it's skeptical, but the atmosphere and people are so lovely that it is truly a lesson in not judging a book by it's cover. If you love good cajun cooking, J Gumbos is it. They also have breakfast now and it is something to write home and tell Momma about.
