BAD DRIVERS. I was on the highway approaching a construction zone where the left lane ended and merged with the right lane. A JD Kelly dump truck pulling a trailer with a kubota shovel cat recklessly sped past me going 15 over the speed limit so that they could cut in front of me just before the lanes merged, I had to slam on the breaks to not be hit by their trailer. JD and company delivered results when I needed it most. I've hired several excavating companies for different projects in other areas of the state. I know the drill and was prepared for the same disappointment I've often experienced. It started out rough. I called a few. One called me back after I left a few voicemails. JD and his crew are excellent to work with. Came when they said they would. Offered ideas...and listened to ours. Were more than willing to adjust work requirements as the project progressed. In the end, they did a ton of landscaping work for us. Removed several massive tree stumps, reworked the lay of the land, removed some old outdoor swimming pool decking, decorative boulders, and an old pool house. I was driving down the road and one of their trucks was continually laying on the horn for no apparent reason. When I contacted the office I was told he was honking at a friend. I explained my special needs children were very upset by the constant horn honking and that horns purpose is to notify drivers of concerns.
