JB's is a New Smyrna tradition. Nothing fancy but has great crab balls, oysters and fish sandwiches. We own a condo across the street and always go to JBs when we are there. Live music on weekends, rent paddleboards and kayaks there too.
Our waitress was higher than a kite first of all, then a small roach was on my captains fried platter, and the icing on the cake.... Rats in the dirty rafter's! A small one fell right next to our booth!!! Disgusting! I wouldn't send my worst enemy to this place in fear they would die of food posioning & I would be held responsible for their death! This place needs to be shut down!!!!!!
Food lover Well worth the wait. My husband ordered a combination meal with crab, oysters, clams and shrimp I think it came with corn. I ordered half pound peel and eat shrimp and a side of cole slaw. We had food leftover to take the kids. The price for the meal was typical but the by the lb. shrimp was very reasonable. Excellent we will go back.
Not the best sea food in town. Great location, friendly atmosphere with wonderful views. Too bad the food is not consistently good.
The food is not to bad its a bit over priced though for what you get.
Over looks the river This is my favorite place to go for fried shrimp, it is cooked perfect and is tender. They serve it with this wonderful cocktail sauce which is heavy on the horseradish sauce. If you want fancy this is not the place to go, it is very laid back,great for the family. This place has a extensive menu of fresh fish prepared in many different ways. Prices are great and so is the service and the view.
JB's Fish Camp & Seafood This is a fun riverfront dining/drinking destination off the beaten path. It fronts on the beautiful Indian River which is the Intracoastal Waterway in our area. Arriving by boat is especially fun, as they have a multi-unit boat dock you can pull into with easy access. This is a truly casual place with a wrap-around deck overlooking the water. Great food and a restaurant with alot of character! – Great place to visit and eat. They have really good, fresh seafood and the ambience is wonderful if you like places with character. It is very rustic and right on the water. The food was delicious, the server was not so friendly ( maybe she was having a bad day ) but we enjoyed our dinner. My only complaint is the windows are too high to look out over the water. Why would you have this scenic view but not be able to see it?
