Our unit was 5 years old and stoped cooling. J Anthony came to check it out and immediately Stated unit was shot needed replaced. They saw we lived in a nice neighborhood n nice house so they ASSUMED we had money. $8000 was quoted. We had to MAX out 3 credit cards to pay for unit. Next summer we needed violent they said. Charged for the coolant because was not under warrantee. Wanted to charge for labor but I reminded them we had a service contract at no charge for 5 years. Crooks, nothing wrong with condenser, called another company, fixed in 20 minutes, a capacitor. These guys have earned their terrible reviews- believe it!
The worst service we have ever received. They made our unit function worse than it did before they serviced it- $330 left us with no air for 3 days -- they tried to charge us $3000 for work that did not need to be done. Had Paloma Air conditioning come and check it out and it was fixed and running better than ever in less the 45 minutes for only $85. When my house started getting hot, I scrambled to get a company to come out on short notice to repair my AC. J Anthony was one of my choices to call. They sent a tech out almost immediately and I was shown that my system was broke and very old. They recommended replacement. This caught me off guard, but I chose to proceed and shortly there after a crew was out removing the old unit. Before they finished removal another crew arrived with a new unit.
