I've known Chris, the mechanic, for several years. He's done work on my car elsewhere previously, and now he's working at J&A with Gus, for whom he has the utmost respect. I would take my car for repairs with no reservations. If they told me my brakes were "metal on metal", I'd fix them immediately before any lesser issue like a misfire.
