My first visit to Izanami exceeded my expectations. Each dish was delivered in a well paced manner. Each dish was unique and delicious. Jenny, our server, was a gem. Her advice was spot on and her attention to us was top notch. I left an hour ago and am already wishing I could do it all over again.
I don’t usually leave reviews but this restaurant is fully deserving of one. This was one of my favorite dinners I’ve had in a while. It’s in a beautiful location in the hills above Santa Fe. I was able to bring my calm lab with me and the staff was so friendly and welcoming. They even brought him a water bowl and treats. The menu is big but the dinner sampler was perfect and so good. I highly recommend this gem to anyone!
My boyfriend made a reservation for my birthday. It was a great experience, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere is incredible. (2024) Edit: I have to adjust my review I made a reservation online for my 30th birthday to be on my birthday this year (2025) and made sure to mark the occasion on the online reservation form. The server rarely checked on us it was the other staff bringing us our food and drinks, and they didn't ask whose birthday it was, or do anything special.
