Ivy vet was the only vet in the area that even could take in a pocket pet like my rat in the area same day. Dr. Cathy was nothing but compassionate and understanding even gave me further information to help me better care for my rats with all the misinformation out there for them. They got me an appointment within the hour of my call to give her the best chance she can have. Very reasonable price as well. After struggling to find an exotic Vet that could get me in I found Ivy Vet. They are hands down amazing they got me in right away we’re super helpful and amazing handling my pets and didn’t try to charge me an arm and a leg either for the visit. You can tell they truly care about their job and clients and would absolutely recommend This vet to anyone looking. Thank you again for all your help and have a Merry Christmas!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience at Ivy Vet Services has been beyond disappointing. From the very start, the front desk staff were extremely rude and dismissive. I brought in my tortoise, who was wheezing, and trusted that he would be treated with care. Instead, they took him into another room where I wasn’t allowed, performed an x-ray without me present, and gave him two antibiotic injections—also out of sight. Negatives: 1. Dr force fed and prescribed food for my pet who had a paralytic ileus. He passed shortly thereafter, as in same day. 2. They sent a a 'Happy Birthday' email to my pet after death 3. They ordered wrong cremation and I was given him back loose in a cardboard scattering box. After I asked why since they knew I had an urn and wanted to keep him, she asked if I had a funnel to just add him to it. No plastic bag or pouch offered. I called the crematorium who then sent me what I needed. Positive: Staff are friendly.
