For over a century patrons have found comfort in this historic building nestled in the heights of the Meadowlands, presently home to Ivy Inn. Opened in the 1870’s as a stagecoach inn, travelers in horse and carriage along Polifly Road (later named Terrace Avenue) stopped here to eat and drink in the tavern below and sleep in one of six guest quarters above. Rustic, romantic restaurant.
Absolutely lovely place. My husband and I got married yesterday and they accommodated our small wedding party. The food was outstanding, I had the best steak ever. The staff were extremely accommodating, friendly, and attentive. We will be back soon, for sure :)
White table cloths, real flowers on the table, nice china, waitresses dressed in black, cozy atmosphere, fireplaces burning, good food, good service. Wonderful old fashion place with history and charm.
