Bartender is great! He encourages inside voices which is great in NYC
Asked politely to change the song playing at the restaurant (R Kelly) and instead of just changing the song the bartender plays a mix of Michael Jackson songs. This behavior is inappropriate and unacceptable service as pedophilia is clearly not taken seriously and instead is seemingly supported.
Bartender was taking shots behind the bar, 2 drinks were $40. Initially service was great but no follow up.
We had been up since 2 am to travel to NYC and we wandered into the Ivy after a very long day. The hostess Claudia and the server Zac were so friendly and accommodating even though it was so busy. The food was fantastic as were the drinks but the friendly quick service made it a wonderful experience. Would highly recommend- great atmosphere and staff!
