My experience as a woman applicant was negative. The presenter’s attitude felt dismissive and gatekeeping, especially when he suggested that knowing someone was necessary to gain entry. On another note, the parking lot situation is terrible, creating a poor first impression for visitors. These issues raise serious questions about the organization’s ability to foster inclusive leadership. Sometimes I think companies respond better through other avenues than an email to a general email box, or trying to call them and get routed, rerouted and get transferred, or be put on hold listening to default Cisco or Teams hold music.
