Everyone was nice and friendly. My concern was the radiologist was unable to read my ultrasound saying my pregnancy was ectopic but the OB said my baby was in my uterus. I’m a first time mom, so it was scary to be told something that wasn’t true.
Horrible experience. Brought in by ambulance and placed in a chair in the waiting room for 5 hours. No sense of urgency. People were crying out in pain, having trouble breathing, laying on the floor because they couldn’t sit up and nothing was done. No privacy at all. They were drawing blood and placing IV’s in the waiting room. Definitely HIPPA violations. Truly the worst ER experience.
Went in on a Monday was very sick. It took a little while, but the staff and everybody was amazing from the time I walked into the I checked out I left My nurses Alyssa and Jennifer & Dawn Took great care of me The whole time and the rest of the staff. Everybody was respectful and nice and patient transportation in amazing job as well , but everyone they did absolutely amazing job and it was worth the wait. After waiting in the lobby for five hours, I was told that it would be another three to four hours before I would be seen. Half the seats out there were empty. There's more, but I figure a nine hour wait for treatment is more than enough warning.
Would not recommend this ER. Apparently they don’t understand the concept of triage. Told 4 plus hour wait time to be seen for blood pressure 180/110 with chest pain. Instead they take walk in young males that feel sick. Asked friends who work at this hospital what they thought, they said they wouldn’t even utilize IU West Emergency room. Went to Hendricks Regional in Danville. They treated her blood pressure and chest pain as an emergency and took her right in.
