Brian Cook at this OB/GYN practice was highly unprofessional and disrespectful. He pushed birth control on my wife and suggested I get a vasectomy, despite her objections, he continued pressure her and to jab at large families and religious practices with snide remarks about Catholics and birth control. He insulted me, her husband, by mocking my larger family, and made rude comment about my "poor" mother. Have been trying to be seen here since August of 2024. My appointment has been cancelled and rescheduled now 3 times moving it 3 months out each time. This is poor healthcare. IU health needs to do better as an organization and stop worrying about the money they are making. I will be going elsewhere from here forward.
I am VERY pleased with how IU Bloomington OB/GYN and their physicians and staff handled this ectopic pregnancy. I have seen the horror stories from women who have had them in Georgia and Texas and the deaths that happened when the doctors weren’t sure if they could treat them. I can positively say there was never any hesitation during this entire process and never any point where I felt my life was going to be danger of anything other than the wait time to get in.
