I have been 2X to the IU Walk-in Clinic. I do not understand the poor reviews at all. Both times I have been I had a doctor and a NP. Both were excellent with manner, diagnosis, treatment. Receptionist was very friendly and outgoing. Medical assistant was of the highest caliber. I recommend when you’re in need of after hours care, immediate care, weekend help.
Would like to emphasize that I do like this urgent care overall and most of my experiences there have been quick, positive, and I have left feeling validated. Today; however, was a different story. I took my son in for basically a follow up after testing positive for Flu B with an at home test from CVS. I have been battling the Flu myself and his symptoms are much different than mine were, so my husband and I wanted some peace of mind in making sure he actually did have Flu B so we can take the correct precautions. My neighbor went in but the doctor was not in and he asked about Thursday or Friday but they said no and he asked about Monday morning and they said yes so it's not a walk in
Absolute worst experience I have ever had with health “professionals” in my life. The first woman who was in there, wish I could remember her name, acted like she was so inconvenienced to be bothered on a Friday night said “oh that heart rate can’t be right if it was I’d be sending her to the ER.” Checked it twice. It was. She also said “oh she’s not gonna like this” before swabbing and then proceeded to say “what are they making me do to you” to my daughter.
