Went in to the ER for one specific reason. A reason they were very aware of. For some reason they thought they had to take my blood. I had never had an IV and wasn't about to start. The reason I was there was very obvious. I needed a specific prescription for a very dire problem. However, they said they can't do anything unless we get blood from you. Total bullcrap. In the past I was not necessarily a fan, but they have really stepped up their game! I have had more experience with hospitals in last 6 years than anyone should ever have it, as I also been to every hospital in the area. They don't do major surgeries there, but they do connect you with the appropriate place to have it done.. but i have faith they do the best around!

My husband came to the ER presenting stroke symptoms. He told them he wanted to be evaluated for a stroke. Over an hour+ later, he still had not been seen. Per American Stroke Association, he should have been seen immediately, evaluated for stroke severity, and had a ct scan with 20-25 minutes. We left, drove to Jasper, and they took him in immediately and got him to ct scan in 10 min upon arrival. Do not come to IU health Paoli if you value your life or your privacy.
