Love this place! I had a haircut and color with Kara, she was great to talk to and very honest and professional. I needed a small adjustment after my cut and they were so great about it. My balayage turned out incredible, I've never been happier with a color treatment and I've been dyeing my hair for 8 years. I'm so glad I can trust Kara with my hair and its such a warm welcoming place. Kara, Ossiel and dog Milo are a great team!
I have a pretty simple, classic men's hairstyle and I've been to 8-10 different barber shops/ salons in Seattle, searching for a professional who can give me a great first cut and stay consistent time after time. Ossiel knocked it out of the park during my first appointment, giving me probably the best cut I've had in my 30+ years, and has done so each and every time I've gone back. I hate to be the first bad review. Especially since I initially liked the direction the cut was going, and the staff was very insightful and friendly. But I just got home and was able to really look at it, and I'm so upset. I asked for a tapered fade and not much off the top, and what I got looks nothing like the pics I provided. Date visited: 8/2/2024 After 3 years of growing my hair out I felt it was time to get it cut. I carefully searched for various barbershops in the area and chose It's A Barber's Thing! as they offered services that I was seeking out and their friendliness towards the LGBTQ+ community. I made an appointment with Ossiel the day before and when I returned they did a magnificent job cutting my hair.
