The product was working fine for 10 months. Lid sensor stopped working. I called customer service. They walked me through the steps to reset the sensor. I did them all. The product still is not working. The product has a 1-year warranty. I Touchless is not honoring the warranty. Their website is difficult to navigate. I am getting NO help from Helen at Customer Service. She keeps telling me the same thing, which is NOT working on their website. It has been a month since I began the warranty service process. Touch less trash can lids are not durable and break down so you can replace at additional cost dont buy!

Hello,The product is designed to last for years and should continue to work as long as it is being operated correctly and with care. This is probably a settings issue and happens as a result of manual use. In general, sensor-based trash cans should never be manually operated. Talk about crap products - I bought a Itouchless automatic toilet seat lid. Auto lift and auto puts it down. Nice for couples. BUT BAD if you need customer service. less than 6 months ago I bought the round seat on Amazon.When charging the battery it jammed so nothing worked. After several emails the warranty department agreed to replace it under warranty - at a charge of 39.95! So for an additional 40% of the purchase price they will keep the warranty.
