This is specifically about the Hillandale location. I took my Gram LG Laptop in 10 days ago. He told me they'd call me a few days later. One week later, no calls whatsoever. I called the main number and got a Virginia location. The guy could look on their system and he said the tech said the motherboard needed replaced and he needed permission for them to remove my old info from the old motherboard and transfer it. Responsive, friendly, and genuinely helpful.
Absolute Scam. They take the money upfront and then don't do anything. When I got to the place the person had to be called at the counter, which I did by calling their helpline. That should have been my first clue. Either way, having paid their 'diagnostic" fee upfront, I waited. After not having heard back from them, I decided to go to the shop directly, where the person in charge was just doodling on their phone. When I asked he suddenly had entire diagnostic of how many things need to be replaced but couldn't be bothered ... read more
