Recent Follow up: I am very happy with my Husq zero turn mower, but as "stuff happens", a part broke within waranty. I made an appointment with Ithaca Agway to pick it up and I had it back within a reasonable time. It is clean and well serviced by competent people who are helpful and courteous. The Ace Hardware on Fulton in Ithaca had what I wanted. I got it no problem. Parking was easy!
They always have everything I need, and the store is cozy, and welcoming. The big box stores are merely an illusion of abundance. If you aren't aware Ace Hardware is a co-op of independent stores. Shopping here is one of the easiest ways you can use your money to support small business. Bigger equipment like lawnmowers are across the street too.
