⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If I could give 100 stars, I would! I recently discovered this place through the Too Good To Go app, and I’m so glad I did because I honestly didn’t even know it existed! First, the woman who runs it is so incredibly sweet, welcoming, and amazing. You can tell she puts love into what she makes, and the food absolutely reflects that. As an Italian (and I mean, not just of Italian descent, but someone who lived 40 years in Italy), I can assure you this place is authentic. The food is exquisite, made with skill and love. The people are welcoming and kind. There are the “tortine” salate, which are a signature recipe of Nunzia and her mother, and they are absolutely unmissable. But my favorite thing is their pizza. You just have to give it a try and see for yourself.
An unassuming eatery in a Chevron gas station can not be ignored. Not only did I get breakfast for under $10 (which is unheard of), the mini pies are worth a weekly trip! The spinach pie is the owner's mother's recipe from southern Italy. I mean, what??? They had a bolongnese pie that I wish I grabbed for lunch. And the empanada was so flakey and savory! Sitting in traffic was actually joyful munching on these treats. Gas station food is not all bad. In fact, this is delicious and worth the stop!
