About

History Established in 2013. Irasshaimase!! (Welcome!!) Family owned and operated, the Issei brand originated in 2008 in downtown Carlisle, PA. Issei Noodle quickly won the hearts of locals and soon patrons were travelling from far-away cities, and even out-of-state, for a taste of the Phamily's broths. Why are ramen and pho side-by-side on our menu? Because our family Japanese AND Vietnamese... that’s why! So tried to go to Issei noodles twice now. First time there was a wait which was fine. But they have a stupid list you need to fill out which wasn’t obvious that that’s what you needed to do. Once you sign into the list you don’t have any idea when you might be seated. We wound up waiting for 30 minutes before we could flag someone and ask how long it would be. They said probably an hour. Fine, I can understand that. There was a convention that weekend and a lot of people were there. But it was already after 9 so we left to eat somewhere else and decided to go the next day. The next day we get there, there’s no fine in service that day. So that irritated me. I mentioned about what happened the day before. Does the guy come back with something like “oh sorry to hear that”. Nope he comes back with “I don’t see how that’s my problem”. Well I’ll never go there now. I don’t deal with rude people and rude people don’t deserve our money or anyone else’s as far as I’m concerned.
