I love this place! A few months ago, I was frantically searching for a nail salon after breaking one at work, and I stumbled upon Issa. Ever since then, I’ve come every month for a Russian manicure, and I have loved everyone I’ve seen! Lisa, Monica, and Wendy have all been great, so I’m always referring my friends here. They take their time to make sure everything is right and always listen and respond to feedback well. I may have found my new nail spot on the UES! They were friendly and their prices are fair (I wanted a particular type of hard gel that can be pricier at other spots). My nails look great and I felt like she really took her time on them.
I've been to this place twice, and I don't think I would go back. While I liked how they did my feet, my gel nail polish on my hands peeled both times. The staff seems rushed and often talk about unrelated things in their own language, which was a bit off-putting. seems very judgmental especially after them seeing my ezcema on my hands. I've been searching for a good nail spot, and I still haven't found one that meets my expectations. This photo is just after 8 days which is insane
This used to be my go to nail salon a few years ago. Moved back to the city and they did a mediocre job on my manicure. The “sterile” bag of instruments hardly looked like it had gone through a sterilization cycle. The tech seemed to be in a rush. My nails are short, but that doesn’t mean pushing her dirty fingernails into my cuticles and under my nails was warranted. Use an instrument. Love my nails!! I got gel x here for the first time a month ago and for my most recent appointment I got gel x / fill. Love my nails and the design. Lisa was so great!!
