From my limited experience, this is a set of self-defense skills for real life situations that will hopefully never come up. Usually there be is no referee that will stop the unwanted fight. Or if someone arrives it could be late There are almost unlimited possibilities of getting attacked or assaulted : styles weapons etc so the are numerous ways to protect yourself. I've been testing out different martial arts schools lately, just to get a feel for what works best for me, and I decided to try this place last night. The lesson seemed legit, and the instructor definitely seemed to know his stuff. The owner, Don, was also easy to talk with over the phone. I still have yet to decide where I will commit long-term (which I intend to do in the near future), but this place is high on my list so far ;o)
