I visited Dr. Pillai about a year ago. This was my initial visit with her. As I was explaining my symptoms to her, and what lead to my visit, suddenly she raised her voice to me. I was shocked! I have never had a doctor to do that before. I wanted to leave, immediately, but stayed to take a test. After the test, she came back in her office, calling me sweetie (am I five years old?). Hi, I was in hospital at Clear Lake and was in the ICU for days! I had several Doctors look and test me with no result, my body went into sepsis shock and not one Dr knew why!! Dr. Kamana has been very involved in my recovery. During the six week IV infusions the clinic nurses were great, knowledgeable, pleasant and helpful explaining the upcoming procedures. Dr. Kamana remembers her patients, it is extraordinary because she is so busy. No hesitation going back to see her and her team. There is a wait sometimes and the offices need sprucing up, but the care received is top notch.
Dr. Pillai has been my pulmonologist for over a year, and I could not be more pleased with my progress. She is a pleasure to deal with, she very much cares about her patients, she listens and is not overbearing. Her outgoing personality transcends into very pleasurable appointments - I recommend her very highly.
The best nephrologist ever.

GREAT DR AND STAFF, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Brought up multiple concerns to Dr. Pillai and asked her about what caused them. Her response: "how would I know what caused it? I'm not you." How rude! What's the point of going to the doctor if the doctor not only dismisses the pain and won't try to understand it beyond a lay person does, but is also condescending. She kept insisting it was just acid reflux and nothing more. Left and found a good doctor that cared and did multiple lab tests. Turns out to be a rare lung disease :(
