They too excellent, compassionate care of our canine family member for his whole life. So grateful, and happy to recommend.
I brought my dog in because it seemed like he was in a lot of discomfort and pain. All the doctor did was touch his stomach and listened to his heartbeat for around 5 minutes and told me to go to an emergency vet because they didn’t know how to handle it, which was fine. However, the bill ended up being $70+ which baffled me because they didn’t do anything.
My first visit to Island Vet’s was the most incredible experience; from the phone call making the appointment (Wendy was gorgeous and reassuring on the phone) to visiting that same day for our first appointment. I phoned in a panic, with a cat who had become suddenly extremely unwell overnight. Wendy answered and immediately put me at ease, and made me feel like I’d chosen the right surgery to visit. My dog has been going to this vet for a year now. I feel like he is the most comfortable here considering his high anxiety. The receptionists and the vets are so nice here and it makes me feel better bringing my dog here.
