I am a 5th generation Islander and Richard's knowledge put me to shame! I learned so much about local history and geology. Richard can spot wildlife all around so the experience is constantly more and more exciting. He checked in frequently to make sure that we were physically doing well. Richard is an incredible teacher! It was our first time kayaking, and he made the entire experience so enjoyable and stress-free. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the island, so it was amazing getting to hear the history and interesting facts while we were out on the water. My wife and I had a wonderful kayak adventure with Richard to DeCourcy Island and pirates cove. Excellent kayak instruction improved our kayaking abilities and Richard’s knowledge of the seas, the islands and the sea life added to the enjoyment of the tour. We highly recommend his kayak adventures to anyone looking for a unique experience on the waters in this beautiful area.
We had a fantastic time on the four hour tour around Saysutshun. Our guide was informative, providing a detailed history of the area from Indigenous and settler perspectives. Richard’s knowledge of the ecosystem is outstanding. We learned a lot about the marine life in this area of Vancouver Island. Additionally, he was very passionate about kayaking in general and ensured we had a great time. I highly recommend this kayaking company for tours.
The guide was amazing and made the whole kayaking experience fun, safe, and relaxing. Super friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the area. He explained everything clearly and made everyone feel comfortable, even beginners. You can really tell he care about giving people a great experience. Highly recommend booking with them!
