Island Health on Orcas Island does a solid job under circumstances that are not easy. I'm a full time healthcare researcher so I know what they're up against. Operating a medical clinic on a rural island comes with real limitations, but they still manage to provide dependable, thoughtful care. Our multigenerational family uses a wide range of services, and we have consistently had good experiences. Former Fastcare EMT here: I'v been disregarded, disrespected and denied an appointment off island with a Drotor. a complete failure of continuity of care. I've been a patient there for years. No Doctor on island that specializes in adults and no nurse practitioner on staff anymore. There is no healthcare on orcas. I'm not putting "Leroy Jenkins!!!" on the air. I like it here
