Jennifer Utter is an outstanding PA. In all the cities I have lived and used PAs she is by far the best. She is interested in your over all well being. It’s not a medical visit it’s a real visit with sound medical treatment and help that far exceeds your expectations. She is the best asset this medical facility has.
I had an excellent experience being treated through Island Health. Orcas family practice made an appointment for me within minutes when I texted on a Monday morning that I’d been bitten by a cat over the weekend. I was able to see a PA within an hour, who established me as a new patient (I had just moved several weeks prior). He examined the injury, shared info and prescribed antibiotics which were ready at the local pharmacy within 30 minutes.
My son was able to get an appointment for an urgent medical need the same day!!! Thanks for helping him!!!
Staff was friendly and welcoming.
The PA assigned to me displayed nervous energy, hostility, and mental instability from the moment she entered the exam room where I was taken. She showed ignorance about my medical history (hadn't seemed to have properly reviewed my file before seeing me) and kept asking me what I was in there for and what I wanted to have done.
