A few years ago, I rated this as a 5-star RV resort. It's only 45 minutes from our house and the "lake" with inflatables is unique to the area. However, they have removed a lot of the inflatables and reduced the number of RV sites and added cabins. There were only 13 chairs in shade at the pool. It was so packed because they also sell day passes. The beach was packed and the ants wouldn't leave our feet alone even though we didn't have any food around us. The pool bar didn't open until after 12, a lot of lost revenue there. ... read more
Island Oaks is a very nice campground with all the amenities you need. Love the beach area. Wish the WiFi was better.
First time at this camping resort. Amenities were fantastic. Pool could have been a little bit bigger but I understand there's more to come. All kinds of activities. Parking spots were nicely laid out with pavers and pull-throughs. No dirt, no problem. Would definitely recommend this camping resort anytime. Can't wait to go back!.
Update: The audacity of this company. Ive since downgraded my review from a 3 star to a 1 star till this gets resolved. I checked out April 29th. It is now July 8th I woke up to a notice Island Oaks ran my card for $70.70! Im assuming this is for the electricity McKenzie told me she would waive it for the inconvenience. You're mismanagement is appalling! There's no excuse for not telling people you are framing multiple tiny homes & turning your resort into a literal construction zone for half a year or more, now this!? The p... read more
